Proud to be a Filthy Liberal Scum

Loud, Proud and I don't care about hurting a conservative's feelings!

But I Thought Republicans Were Pro-‘Life’?

This isn’t new information but it still kind of just pops out at you: As of last year, 1 in 4 children ages 6 and under lived in poverty. That means that without Medicaid, school lunches, food stamps and public assistance in general, these kids would not be properly fed, clothed, recieve medical care or have a roof over their head. As it stands, even with the social safety net, far too many of these kids that did absolutely nothing wrong except be born do not receive the care they need. So when a Republican gets in front of a camera and demands that the poor pick themselves up by the bootstraps and stop asking for “handouts,” picture the face of a child. That’s who they’re punishing with their everyone for themselves “personal responsibility” ideology.

Maybe they should think about that as they head out to church today and pretend that they love Jesus.

Or, as George Carlin put it:

  1. Another applicable George Carlin quote: “Once you leave the womb, conservatives don’t care about you until you reach military age. Then you’re just what they’re looking for. Conservatives want live babies so they can raise them to be dead soldiers.”
