Sleepy Time Thought: 4/17/2012 Vote For Mitt If You Hate Obama Edition!
I wish I could find it hard to believe that Mitt Romney has a chance of winning in November. He is intensely disliked by his own base and inspires tepid indifference among independents. I picked this up off of Bob Cesca’s blog:
Mitt Romney has emerged from the Republican primary season with the weakest favorability rating on record for a presumptive presidential nominee in ABC News/Washington Post polls since 1984, trailing a resurgent Barack Obama in personal popularity by 21 percentage points.
Thirty-five percent of Americans see Romney favorably, while 47 percent have an unfavorable opinion of the former Massachusetts governor. He’s the first likely nominee to be underwater — seen more unfavorably than favorably — in ABC/Post polls in eight presidential primary seasons over the past 28 years.
Yet, conservatives will still vote for him despite having absolutely no core values of his own. He says whatever it is his audience needs to hear at that moment in time and doesn’t blink as he reverses himself the next day. Of course, the “liberal” media can’t be bothered to call him on it in anything but the softest of voices. They sure spent a whole lot of energy calling Al Gore a liar about things he didn’t even say but go after Romney for blatant flip-floppery and lying? Hellllll no! That might seem “biased!”
I’ll just mark this as exhibit #29674393 in my case to prove that conservatives don’t stand for anything, they only stand against.
Sleep tight you filthy liberal scum!
